Solar streetlights illuminate villages; a public welfare project that warms people's hearts.

(Reporter Fang Zeyang, Shennongjia Forestry District Media Convergence Center) On the evening of May 13th, Wanfu Village in Yangri Town presented a new scene: under the night sky, simply designed solar streetlights blended seamlessly with the natural environment, illuminating the village roads and alleys. Villager Wan Chengliang remarked, "For decades, it was pitch black at night. Now, with the bright streetlights, visiting neighbors and taking walks are much more convenient, and our quality of life has improved significantly."

Previously, nighttime travel in Wanfu Village was inconvenient and posed safety hazards. After on-site inspection, the Forestry District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau implemented a lighting project in densely populated areas, installing 76 streetlights covering the main roads, alleys, and villagers' doorsteps, completely eliminating the hazards.

Liu Qingyun, head of the Rural Construction Promotion Section of the Forestry District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, introduced that the district's 2025 solar streetlight installation target of 200 lights has been completed in Guanfeng Village of Hongping Town, Wanfu Village of Yangri Town, and Tangfang Village of Songbai Town, leading the province in construction progress.

Since the beginning of this year, Shennongjia Forestry District has actively promoted the rural street lighting project, one of Hubei Province's top ten livelihood projects for 2025. The Forestry District's Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau has efficiently promoted the installation of solar streetlights, ranking among the top in the province, and significantly improving villager satisfaction.

Shennongjia will continue to seek project support to gradually improve nighttime lighting in densely populated areas along village roads, further enhancing villagers' sense of well-being.
